I played it already and can say that it's pretty good. Maybe not the best Metal Slug, but not the worst in the series in my book either. The second screen however is completely redundant. It's basically just a map of the level showing the hostages that you freed.
Here is hope they release an arcade version as well, but alas, I think a DS game will be far more lucrative, especially today.
I go out on a limb here and say: People who like Pokemon. If you take away all that merchandise stuff and the likes and judge the games as just games and not part of a huge cultural phenomenon, they are pretty solid.
My only gripes with the franchise is that Nintendo/Game Freak is running out of ideas/names for new Pokemon and still keeps pushing the number. IMHO, they should have stopped after 251 or just add like 10 or so new ones. But that's just me.
Ahh, I recognize that. Feels good, man. Bubble for you.
Well, I have my very own, very special reasons, but apart from that and to add something constructive - I miss the integration with this site.
When you hit the mainpage, you can click that little thing there and see the two latest submission and that's pretty much it.
When you browse the site, you sometimes stumble across an ad for BJ, but that one doesn't look appealing to me. There is nothing that makes me say "F'ck yeah, I wanna see that and laugh my ass off!"...
Dude, better edit that comment before any of the mods see it. You know that the game was canceled at 99% completion, JUST BECAUSE it was THAT violent. We all have seen the bootlegs and the illegal beta footage, but just mentioning it is against the ToS of most sites.
Why complain about them selling us stuff that we already bought, hence why it's on the disc? Because we already paid for it, sans the stupid keys to unlock that stuff.
If I sold you a car and then, after you bought it, told you that in order to unlock the full power of the engine, you have to pay me again, wouldn't you be pissed? It's just like this right now with some developers, just on a smaller (in terms of pricing) scale.
Thank you for your feedback. The Police of Thailand has just dispatched several squads to your current location, in order to protect the national security and health of the people.
Just kidding, but I wouldn't be too shocked if we saw a report of messages like that popping up the next time somebody over there plays one of those "dangerous games".
Say hello to the next witch hunt.
LOL
I can see the new ad campaign now:
"Crysis - makes even a BlueGene cry like a little b'tch"
First I want a Survival Mode and a Story Mode ala SoulCalbur (the first one), THEN we can talk about Bamco getting any money for that game from me again.
If they ever make a SNES one with Super Mario World and maybe one of the Mega Man X games in it, I'll buy one for sure. But I doubt it.
If I ever read somebody spell it with an E again...
You are on a gaming site and aren't even able to spell the game's title.
That's pathetic.
The text has N O T H I N G to do with the page you link to. If you are angry because it wasn't released on PS2, well, tough luck. Write a blog, organize a demo, go camp outside Bandai Namco's HQ, but stop writing crap like this.
Holy F'ing Sh't!!
On a second thought, what kind of a PC do you need to push playable speeds at that resolution? Anyway, awesome.
"Regardless of any measure of conflict, the nations of our world have always managed to get together[...]"
I stopped reading right after that.

I rest my case.
Final Fantasy XIII Agito is a PSP game. I don't see how that would help PS3 sales in Japan.
Well, talk about completely different receptions.
I remember playing one of the Colin McRae games ages ago on the PSX and I really didn't like it. Maybe it was because I never used the brake in a racing game, so I won't blame it on the game. I also never took the time to get into the handling. So I just say that my first impression wasn't good.
Then I downloaded the DIRT demo. It was fast, I slided a lot (played the trucks first) and found myself enjoing it. Maybe it was that lit...
I agree. I love the arcade-y feel they give me. But their names are starting to get lame. Better that way than vice versa, though.
Dear Codemasters,
since you have an amazingly creative way of finding new, fresh names for your racing games, I would like to participate and make some suggestions.
Tire
Wheel
Engine
Clutch
Asphalt
Rubber
Headlights
As you can see, these names will provide for quality titles for at least the current and the next generation of consoles.
Yours truly,
A gamer who thinks your marketing guys lack imagination
I can't believe so many bought that crapfest Iron Man.
Sucks for Valkyria Chronicles, but I'm a little more optimistic about it's sales in the US and Europe. Call it a hunch, I might be wrong with that.
"Namco Bandai's Soul Caliber[...]"
I didn't even bother clicking the link. Four words. He didn't even get the first four words of the review right. Not only that, it's the game's name, FFS.
